The Sunjammer Project

Sunjammer will be derived from a 20x20m solar sail ground demo L'Garde and NASA tested in 2005.

NASA's Office of the Chief Technologist is funding L'Garde to demonstrate flight of a solar sail for use in science and operational (e.g. space weather, environmental monitoring, communications) missions.
